Choosing the Finest Material: Excellence from the Ground Up

At ZC Precision, we understand that the quality of your final product depends on the excellence of every component, starting with the material itself. That’s why we never compromise when it comes to choosing the raw materials for your custom machined parts.

Materials Matter: We Choose the Best So You Can Build the Best

Our material test reports case

Tensile test &impact test

Tensile testing involves subjecting a material to a controlled pulling force until it breaks. This test is used to determine the ultimate tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, and other mechanical properties of the material.

Impact testing involves striking a material with a pendulum or other impact device and measuring the energy absorbed by the material. This test is used to evaluate the toughness and resistance to fracture of a material, which is important for machining applications that involve cutting, drilling, or other processes that subject the material to high stress and strain. In the machining industry, impact testing is commonly used to evaluate the toughness of materials such as tool steel, which is used for cutting tools and dies.

Chemical Component Anylasis

It is the process of determining the composition of a material by analyzing its chemical constituents. This analysis can provide important information about the properties and behavior of the material, including its strength, durability, and chemical reactivity.

It can help to identify any impurities or variations in the material composition that could affect its mechanical properties or machinability. Chemical component analysis is also used to evaluate the effectiveness of surface treatments, such as coatings or plating, by monitoring the chemical composition of the surface layer.

Anodizing test

Anodizing is an electro-chemical process that creates a protective oxide layer on the surface of a metal, typically aluminum.  By evaluating the thickness, adhesion, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance of the anodized layer, these tests help to ensure that the anodized components will perform as expected over their intended lifespan.

Technical Data Sheet

A Technical Data Sheet (TDS) is a document that provides detailed information about a product’s technical specifications, features, and performance characteristics. Technical data sheets are commonly used in the machining industry to provide engineers, designers, and machinists with important information about the materials and components used in their products.
